And a toddler saves the day

Here's something cute to start your week with: a toddler singing Hey Jude.  He must be two? three?  But he's lisps through the whole song. Amazing.

My niece showed me this video after I had one of the Craziest Fridays Ever. Came home in a foul mood and wallowing in a cess pool of self-pity. But five notes into that You Tube video and I was laughing.

There is no mood so bad that it can't be fixed by a singing toddler, dontcha think?

Dancing letters to the rescue

Chikka Chikka Boom Boom was one of my son's first books. He instantly loved it -- okay, he loved chewing it, but it survived the baby years to become one of his favorite bedtime stories. The plot: letters climb up (and fall down) a coconut tree. Weird premise, but by the third pass I'd memorized the lines. Like a good pop song, it had an irresistible "hook."

Anyway, I found a cool animated version of Chikka Chikka Boom Boom on YouTube. It's good for 5 minutes of emergency entertainment -- long enough for me to take an important business call without him grabbing the phone and screaming "Hi, I'm here!"
